Senior Pet Care

With improved care and diet, our companions are sharing their lives with us longer than ever! But with senior age, come age-related conditions, and it’s up to us how to best handle these special needs.

Senior Pet Care

Our friends tend to grow older gracefully, so it’s hard to think of them as “senior.” But, generally speaking, cats and small dogs are considered “old” at age 7. Larger dogs don’t live as long and are considered geriatric at age 6.

When considering care for your senior pet, we’ll cover areas such as: diet and nutrition (including weight control), parasite control, maintaining mobility, vaccination protocol, mental health, and environmental and lifestyle accommodations. We want your lifelong companion to have the best possible golden years.
